Welcome

Fellow Seminoles,

It’s a great year at Florida State University, and we’re happy to say it’s going to be the best year yet for our Greek men in 2012. The population of our Interfraternity Council boasts over 20 fraternities and nearly 2,000 students, and IFC is primed to expand our campus involvement farther than ever.

FSU is an exciting place to attend school, and if you’re an incoming student, welcome to the university with the greatest Greek population in the nation. What does it mean to be Greek? It means joining one of our 23 IFC fraternities and embarking on the greatest journey of your college career.

Our fraternities are a diverse collection of students dedicated to bettering their student experience through the core values that guide their fraternal organization. Who makes up the members of a fraternity? Greek men are students from all walks of life and differing hometowns. Fraternity men are involved with Orientation, Division I athletics, Garnet and Gold Scholars, Student Government, Honors Program, Garnet and Gold Key Leadership Honorary, Seminole Student Boosters, Services Scholars, and much more.

Going Greek affords you the opportunity to make YOUR mark on Florida State University. Want to start your own Registered Student Organization for a cause you’re passionate about? Go Greek. Want to have a stellar social life while excelling in your academic pursuits? Go Greek. Want to ensure your undergraduate legacy will be remembered for years to come? Go Greek!

Joining a fraternity is a serious decision that will bless you with the bonds of brotherhood for your entire life. It is a choice to be the best of the best, to be the most well rounded student, brother and leader. I urge you to make the most of your college years, and Rush a fraternity during the Fall or Spring recruitment periods. IFC will be offering Go Greek informational sessions at Summer 2012 Orientation Sessions, and we encourage you to come out and see what Greek Life is all about.

There truly is a fraternity for every man, and we’re sure that you’ll find a place that you feel right at home! Please don’t hesitate to contact myself, or anyone on the 2012 IFC Executive Board with questions regarding Rush, our 23 fraternities, and the best decision you’ll make in college!

Fraternally,

Nicco Spayde

IFC President, Florida State University
